This is my last assignment. I am attending the final part of the Life in the Spirit Seminar on Saturday, 19th March 2005 from 2pm to 11pm. So, to my dear brothers and sisters-in-Christ, pray that each of us will receive the Lord’s blessings to do His Will through us.
Day 6 – Reflections
As you grow in faith in the Holy Spirit in you, you will begin to experience him working in you in new ways so that you can serve others. He will equip you with spiritual gifts, gifts which will give you a new power to do his work. Paul talks about some of these gifts in this way:
“The particular way in which the Spirit is given to each person is for a good purpose. One may have the word of wisdom given him by the Spirit, another may have the work of knowledge given him by the same Spirit; and another the gift of faith by the same Spirit; another again the gift of healing through his one Spirit; one, the power of miracles, another prophecy, another the gift of discerning spirits; another the gift of tongues and another the ability to intepret them. All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, who distributes different gifts to different people just as he chooses.” (1 Cor 12:7-11)
All the above is rather hard for me to comprehend as a lay person. Though I may not be able to understand the whole meaning of the above, I have faith that the Holy Spirit has been working through me. God has given me Vincent to care for a short seven months and through Vincent, I had learnt so many things that many people will not be able to learn in their whole lifetime. Though it was a very hard period in my life, I am thankful that God has entrusted me to care for Vincent.
Because through me, I had done many things and it is all the workings of the Holy Spirit. I pray that I continue to keep my faith and do His works. Amen.
