It’s a tragedy! Hilary Duff lost her boobs!

A few months back, I had dinner with a Canadian women who has two daughters about 10 yrs and 8 yrs old. Throughout dinner, they gushed and gushed about Hilary Duff. They showed me magazines, told me when her birthday and all other details. They repeatedly said they adore her. They practically live their lives according to how Hilary Duff does.

I have only sons and thank God, sons don’t gush over celebrities. OK, probably if they do, they are ogling only, I hope. My #3 son do watch Lizzie McQuire and that other movie by Hilary Duff. I found her very wholesome and errr…healthy?

One of the challenges being mom is to instill values and how our kids perceive the world. Whom they look up to as role models. Are we communicating enough? Do they hear what we are teaching them and so on.

Now that Hilary Duff had drastically lost her weight, I am sure millions of bubbly, giggly pre-teens and teens are going to follow suit. Starving themselves, i.e. She has appeared on Disney channel in her skeleton frame, dark circles (as in painted with black paints) around her eyes and huge teeth.

I hope our Malaysian pre-teens and teenager girls do not have the same intense idol-worshipping style. Otherwise, where am I going to find future daughter-in-laws who have ample breasts and asses, a sign of fertility? Yam koong lor.

  1. that’s the weird thing. i don’t blame teens these days for wanting to look slim (which actually and literally means a walking bag of skin & bones) because of what their fav pop-stars and idols are doing to themselves. it’s scary to think that they have this impression that looking skinny is nice. these girls have GOT to realise that men like a big of flesh to hold on to, to hug. not hold a body n feel bones poking them. sigh. it’s just a never ending cycle. i wont deny that i want to b slimmer too but only to lose my spare tayars la. coz if i slim (konon la) down too much, i might lose my ASSets – which is a BIG no-no for me. i LOVE my ASSets. šŸ˜›

  2. Haiyoh. It’s all so wrong..so so wrong. I am thin…oklah..I look thin but I’m actually 57kg (173cm) and it’s some sort like a just nice weight for my height. The thing is….I look fat at certain areas…dats because I stopped working out last time. Now I’m back on track..managed to firm up the loose muscles and heck, I still am the same old makan-banyak-SK.

    It’s so wrong to starve yourself to lose weight. You’ll look like crap..even more crappy than the fat you (if you think you’re fat). Siao wanlah people who starve themselves.

    And Yvy is so right, men like a lil baby fats to hold on to and not bones that will give them bruises everytime they hug their girl =P

  3. s-kay!!! u’re 1.73m n weight only 57kgs??? are u sure u are not underweight??? i’m 5’7 n SO much heabier than you! die lor….

  4. Yvy…no..the last time I checked it says that I am fit…I’m supposed to weigh from 55 – 60 ++, something like that…but my weight fluctuateslah…sometimes 57, sometimes 59 even. My min is 57 ler…
