What songs perk you up?

Whee! I am feeling extra perky after an hour of ‘shutting down’ (i.e. in solitude, one heart and one soul just listening to my heart) plus another two hours singing Christmas songs. Yes, Christmas is in the air since last week because the choir of The Cathedral of the Holy Spirit has been practicing twice a week since last week.

So, tell me what are the songs that you will shout out when you feel good? Here are mine:

1) We are the champion – Queen

2) I will survive – Donna Summer and Aretha Franklin

3) It’s raining men – The weather girls (the original and not that other muscular Spice girl version)

4) YMCA – Village People

5) We will rock you – Queen

6) I say a little prayer – Dionne Warwick (do you all remember My Best Friend’s wedding?)

(all the above tks to P2P, psst)

I know some of you kids (kekekeh) don’t have the faintest idea who they are. But my kids who play GTA and other PS2 games do know some of these 80s songs.

In fact, when we were in Redang, the hotel has this open air disco by the beach and boy, can my kids dance. Including my toddler. From disco to rap to breakdance.

I hope the mention of It’s raining men did not give you any funny ideas, ok?

Added : Got one more, Another one bites the dust – Queen again. (I know they are gays but that Freddie Mercury moustache USED to be very turn on leh.)

Added again : SONG OF THE DAY – This one you MUST download. It is available on Dr. Liew’s post but I shall put the link for downloading here. But remember to go wish Dr. Liew something appropriate. LOL!
