RSS feeds – plugin for WordPress 2.0

Finally it works!!!!! Thanks to Toxicle for the links. (Simplepie.org plugin doesn’t work for me, got some parsing problem.)
Go to The OZ Politics Blog.

Download the plugin for the Aggregated Blog Feeds.

Upload them to wp/content/plugins

Activate it at the plugin board.
Tadaaa…Under Dashboard/Manage/RSS Feeds, set the settings. Merely add feeds URL. The feeds URLs are those little RSS orange icon. Copy the link location (e.g. http://(the site you want.com/feed). Add as many feeds you like. Select what you want to be shown by tick/un-tick the choices. Click poll everything.

Add this code into your sidebar.php or anywhere you want the feed to appear.

And here I have on my single page, all the other blog posts I wrote on my parenting/digital photo and food blogs. Cool!

I did this during the first half between France and Brazil. Ain’t I such a lovely wife, sitting up to accompany the hubby during his World Cup matches? Hehehe. BTW, can someone please tell me how I specify the width? Right now, the feeds sort of pushed my 2nd side bar all the way down (when viewing on stupid IE). So, I want to specify width to only 160 pixel. Please?

And if it is not too much to ask, can someone also tell me why I can’t add pages to my blog? Grrrr….so frus.

  1. Specify width? Hmm…have you checked your CSS file? It should be there.

As for pages, you have to add the link manually to this theme. I used this theme before, the code for the page links above is somewhere in header.php, if I recall correctly.

BTW thanks for pointing out the plugin, now I can RSS from the other blogs I write for, too!

  2. This is Ryan from the SimplePie project. I just wanted to know what kinds of problems you were having, and wanted to find out how the other plugin solved it.

We’re definitely open to feedback, and if you had a problem, I’d like to know about it. 🙂

  3. Problem with RSS Feed in WordPress.
I have a subdomain that I installed wordpress for another blog site, but the subdomain site's rss feed points to my parent site.
Can anyone come up with any suggestions?
