I passed by Gurney Plaza’s Artist Gallery just now and am in love with Jay Chou’s small eyes. There was this huge poster of him in the warrior costume in Curse of the Golden Flower. I watched it a few nights ago. I didn’t read or see any trailer and was totally lost on the plot as I was in between crapping for money and watching the DVD.
Initially, I didn’t know who are the real sons of Gong Li. Chey….so potong stim to find out that she was having an affair with the other adopted son and not with Jay Chou. Spoil the plot only. I told mott, laundryamah and sasha during the bloggers party that I sense chemistry between Jay Chou and Gong Li. Bodoh betul saya. Anyway, Curse of the Golden Flower has some pretty dumb plot with not enough emotions and was confusing for me. However, it is still worth watching because of the spectacular settings and the boobs on offer. LOL. Niamah, they treat the boobs like char siew pau, add lots of yeast and make it all smooth smooth, round round like that.

Now, back to small eyes. I am not sure why but I used to detest Gay Chou. I still do. Except that he looks so yau yeng in that golden helmet and armoured costume. That small eyes are so mesmerizing and forlorn. Damn….how did Gong Li has an adult son like him? Why didn’t they switch the role of the eldest and second son?
What do you think? Are men with small eyes attractive? Or do you prefer huge, kam yue, goldfish eyes? I think naturally Chinese have small eyes. I hate mine but what to do….I cannot afford plastic surgery to make them big. Moreover, those women with huge, attractive eyes tend to have crow’s feet and wrinkles around their eyes faster than slit, almond eyes like mine. So yay to my small eyes.
Cedric took a photo of me with his camera phone just now at Foodloft and I think this shot is really nice. Not because of my extra small eyes but the natural pose and the soft lighting.

Small Eyes, big eyes, round eyes, cross eyed…beauty is in the eye of the beholder….
By the way, curse of the golden flower is interesting in the sense of showing filial piety, obedience to the order of the father irregardless what, even to killing ur own mother, but when one’s love (as potrayed by Jay Chou) for one’s mother is stronger, than the only way out, rather than killing one’s own mom is to kill oneself..for it is already a disgrace in both ways to kill one’s mother and yet to disobey one’s father…i find it a very interesting movie with lots of hidden meanings to Chinese Traditions and Customs…however..Gong Li can be Jay Chou’s mom in real life..I mean..she’s old kan?

hahahaha, JC not so bad lar. Most of his song lyrics and rhythm are poems alike. Except the singing part, sometime he didn’t get the lyrics sung correctly.
