  1. maggot!!!

they must cut the petai into half to clean it ler… that’s the number 1 rule in cooking petai.

  2. Petai worms can be eaten wan.Durian worms can also
be eaten. There is no risk.
In my life I have eaten

Anyway, I notice that the baby kailan leaves tend to have some maggots too. Sometimes, when it is fried with the baby ikan bilis, you can’t tell the difference and happily munch it too! πŸ˜›

  4. Yipee!! Bloggers power.
    Congrats to you Lilian.
BTW this shows newspaper is running out of steam to write. Of late ALL the articles are either commercial or political driven. Honestly I feel better after reading blogs by real people, not reporters whose article got axed by their editors. πŸ™‚

i know where you kena the Nasi Goreng Kampung with Petai with extra ingredient! That’s why my mom insist on splitting each and every petai she cook!

Do you think the quality of food there is still the same as before or like what I believe, it’s gone downhill since the owner started to drive a Mercedes and don’t bother much with the cooking any more.
