Good morning, Baltimore!

I just got my hands on the song from Hairspray, ‘Good morning, Baltimore‘. It has to be one of the most upbeat song I have heard in a long time. *tapping feet while typing*

Today’s mass has been good. I found my ‘aha’. Last week, I was writing about looking for that ‘aha’ on Faith Journey. Well, that’s what churches, masses and a little solitude can do for a person’s soul.

The song, The Summons comes in timely. I have blogged about how important that song is for us Christians.

2. Will you leave your self behind, If I but call your name?
Will you care for cruel and kind And never be the same?
Will you risk the hostile stare, Should your life attract or scare,
Will you let me answer pray’r In you and you in me?

I met Auntie S and Uncle T in church. Have been a while since I meet this lovely couple. Auntie S is 80 and Uncle T is over 80s but they are the most inspiring couple I have ever met. Auntie S is always young at heart. And there is nothing more comforting than a little hug from both of them and a little peck on the cheek from Uncle T. A father figure to me. If there is anything that a woman needs, it is the words from Auntie S. “Lilian!!!! You always look so happy. You are looking so swheet today, girl.” That suddenly makes me 30 years younger. I feel like a 10 years old girl, standing there with Auntie S dotting over me.

So, yes, Jesus, I will follow you. I have surrendered my life to you. Guide me and give me the comfort that I am seeking.

4. Will you love the ‘you’ you hide, If I but call your name?
Will you quell the fear inside And never be the same?
Will you use the faith you’ve found, To reshape the world around,
Through my sight and touch and sound In you and you in me?

So, yeah! Here’s to myself! Cheers!

*muttering under breath. One more to go.*
