kampung belah dua

The ceramah I went to last night is held at Kampung Belah Dua in Permatang Pauh. Kampung Belah Dua is translated as village split into two. I think that’s what our leaders want us to believe. But just tell them, hati rakyat tetap satu.

Did you read in The Star, Home Minister Datuk Seri Syed Hamid Albar said:

“This is the most tense and most apprehensive by-election the country has ever witnessed. We are monitoring the situation closely,” he said after visiting the Kubang Semang weekend market near here yesterday.

What tension? It is carnival like where everyone is so readily to chat up with the next person.

When we got there, a 4WD accidentally drove into a drain because it was dark. Immediately, a group of people including my husband, the car owner (who is Indian) and the people around there helped to push the 4WD out of the drain. Unity is spontaneous. There is no such thing as tension.

(I think this is the vice-president of PKR? Forgot his name)

The ceramah too doesn’t not contain any hatred words. It was mostly jokes which we have heard before. For example, Ng Yen Yen went to Permatang Pauh to give money to the old folks there. PKR folks told them, “Kalau orang bagi duit, ambik……jangan tak ambik…..Tapi, bila pergi undi, pangkah Keadilan.” That got everyone laughing and clapping. This reminded me of the 12th GE where people driving Barisan Nasional cars stopped by the DAP registration counter and told us, “We are paid by BN but we are voting rocket.”

(ok ok, one more pic, cannot meh?)

By the way, did you read that some Hindraf members were detained? Gerakan Koh Tsu Koon urged the authority to release them because he said it was emotionally charged. But I was asking myself, eh mana pigi the champion of Indians rights? Then, I read that oh….there he is, fighting other ‘more important’ things :

MIC deputy president Datuk G. Palanivel asked: “Why a public holiday? Does Guan Eng know what kind of losses factories and businessmen will incur because of the holiday?”

Elo, jangan kacau lah. We all get one day for voting, later get new PM, we get another day tapi you terus cuti pencen baru tau.
