Umno Youth questions ‘voices of the people’ -Silent means consent lah!

This is one of those article in The Star that many probably missed.

KOTA KINABALU: Umno Youth has questioned the “deafening silence” from the Bar Council, NGOs and bloggers over plans by Opposition Leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim to woo Barisan Nasional MPs.

Its secretary Datuk Abdul Rahman Dahlan said these groups, which claimed to defend the rights of the people, have remained silent over Anwar’s move to engineer defections, which he described as undemocratic and an act of stealing the mandate of the people.

Govt by crossover would make us laughing stock: Don
By SIRA HABIBU

ALOR STAR: Malaysia would be a laughing stock to the world if the government is toppled through crossovers, said an academician.

Universiti Utara Malaysia College of Law, Government and International Studies research and post-graduate dean Prof Dr Mohd Mustafa Ishak said such tactics to topple the government were unheard of in developed countries.

“Such episodes may occur in Third World countries that are still grappling with the democratic system.

“If it happens here we will definitely be a laughing stock, as we will be seen as having a Third World political mentality,” he said.

To Datuk Abdul Rahman – What do you mean bloggers are silent over the crossovers? BLOGGERS ARE LOUDLY SHOUTING WITH EXCITEMENT TO SEE SEPT 16, OK? There is none so blind as the one who refuses to see.

And to Prof. Dr. Mohd. Mustafa

You mean to say we are not already laughing stock? We are! WE ARE ALREADY LAUGHING STOCK. And being able to change Government this way is democracy.

And on Malaysiakini

‘Get people’s approval first for 916’
Athi Veeranggan | Sep 8, 08 12:24pm
Despite heavy rain across Penang, some 300 people crammed into a hall in Han Chiang College last night to hear four speakers discuss the possible power transfer at federal level on Sept 16 – more fashionably dubbed 916.

NO NEED TO GET ANYMORE PEOPLE’S APPROVAL. PEOPLE HAVE ALREADY APPROVED. WHY WASTE MORE OF OUR TAXPAYERS MONEY TO SEEK A FRESH ELECTORATE MANDATE? WE DON’T WANT TO GO FOR ANOTHER ELECTION. IT IS A WASTE OF MONEY. WE ALSO DON’T WANT TO WAIT FOR FOUR MORE YEARS FOR ANOTHER ELECTION.

Let’s do it now!

I don’t see what’s immoral about changing from Barisan Nasional to Pakatan Rakyat. They are still serving the people. It is more immoral to stay in a party that has been known and proven to condone cronyism and corruption.

Or like Lim Kit Siang said, it is unethical to leave a party to join another for personal gains :

(malaysiakini)

Like that that Ong Ka Chuan who insisted :

Remaining in BN for sake of unity

IPOH: MCA will remain in Barisan Nasional as unity is of paramount importance at this juncture, says party secretary-general Datuk Seri Ong Ka Chuan.

Unity, my foot! More like jaga poket sindiri. Keep a blind eye, deaf ear, mute mouth but stay fat. Others in MCA are condemning the action of the racist remarks and he is insisting to stay united.

So, do you think it is immoral to leave Barisan to join Pakatan?

Yes?

No?

  1. When the Ex-CM of Perak and Selangor tried to buy over Pakatan elected officials after March08 general election, where are you Morally upright UMNO Youth?

  2. People have been so long voting for Brand and ignoring Individuals. Hence we vote in Individuals whether they have quality or not.

People do not realise that for as long as Malaysia has been around they have been are in law voting for Individuals.

Therefore regardless of what Party they vote it is the Individual that represents them. Regardless of what party the Individuals hop to… onot?

Bee eNd go back & think carefully what have u done for us for the past 8yrs to deserve this from us, can? Love to make the rakyat suffer so much for your own personal benefit rite..now is payback time!

  4. Umno Youth has questioned the “deafening silence”

This time, RACIST KERIS-PUDDING is quiet, so quiet that “defening silence” can best describe him.

Keris pudding, did you also meet saifool?

    😀

  5. this is not even a question of moral.

  6. On deafening silence – listen to this:

    When James Bond runs
    Others walk
    When he strikes
    He strikes like thunderbolt…

On 916 – I have meditated on this, and achieve some levels of enlightenment similar to nirvana:

    There is no cross over
    When the Titanic sank
    Hey, Presto… 916 Thunderbolt … Titanic has sunk…
PR is the de facto major.

Read what LKS says. His party does not encourage grass-hoppers…
He could be hinting that there is no need for grass-hopping. The Titanic will sink and PR is automatically the major player.

In My Fair Lady, it says:

Just you wait, just you wait
When you regret it will be to late!

The repulsive A-Mud-Smells uses a small knife to challenge the world renowned taiqi… Which is longer, the knife or God Kwan Kong’s 80-cwt kwan-toh? What is rascism? Let’s go back to school!

  7. OKC said that who dared speak out now would be the hero??? Shocked me! We are not leaders therefore we dare not speak out although we have LPs!

Yesterday morning, he asked us to forget about the incidence and work towards nation-building and economy. Hey, we are small “fried” man!

At night, he spoke a different hero language stated above which confused me.

Politicians always claim that they are leaders and relished at superman titles, honours, YB??? They must have the LPs to talk. Don’t jatuh maruah talking like clowns!

Otherwise, we would call the YB Lilian over, okay???

  8. I think US will support Malaysia’s new government since they approve of Anwar.

Laughing stock? I don’t see people laughing at Thailand when this kind of thing happen.

Let’s just hope UMNO extremist won’t cause another 13 May, like DAP did. It would be very ironic.

  9. Ahmad ismail had yet again unveiled a tip of the iceberg of what umno really is..BN backbenchers camp..khairy saying why ngo’s arent making noise well yeah when u have pea brain ministers and mps from a certain political party in parliament unable to manage government funds and show little interest to state affairs so dont think the voice of the ppl would voice out would against the mp crossover as it will give way 2 more responsible governance .Although it may seem unethical but what could b worst is let a corrupt party treat us like second class citizens, play racial cards to gain support and lavishly spend hard earned tax money on backbenching events and huge bailouts =) peace

  10. Morality of jumping my foot lah… Whenever I see all the BN politicians shouting that this is not the mandate of the people and this is immoral I think back to Sabah and Sarawak. Who was the one that instigated the jump? So that jump was moral and this one immoral?

    Bah. Hypocrites.

  11. Do we need to be morally right and ethical when dealing with morally reprehensible & unethical scumbags?
Isn’t it foolish to wash our hands when throwing OUT garbages?

It’s not only morally right but a duty of every decent & righteous MP to cross over for the sake of the future of this suffering nation!
    WELCOME 916!!!
