The word “char siau” is an expression commonly used in Hokkien

It is not genteel and also impolite to use “char siau”;
a better and more polite one would be “choh luan”

instead of “mmai char siau”
use the more polite form = mmai choh luan…
or use = mmai chap…
depending on ur context of use.
