Is Anwar in already? 916 is here already? (Malaysiakini and The Star said so)

I am going cuckoo with the news available. The news on Malaysiakini says Anwar has all he needs.

Pak Lah says no. But then, he always say the opposite. So, we can believe Pak Lah, right?

Anwar said yes. And The Star has published the news. My son who is in college sms-ed me and said he heard it on radio that ‘Anwar is up, already’

Here’s the news from The Star

PETALING JAYA: Opposition Leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has claimed that more than 31 Barisan MPs have agreed to cross over to Pakatan Rakyat.

He, however, refused to reveal the names of the 31 MPs.

Anwar told a press conference at the PKR headquarters in Petaling Jaya on Tuesday that he would do so when he meets the Prime Minister.

The Permatang Pauh MP also claimed that the transition to the new Government has been delayed a few days pending the meeting with Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi to ensure a smooth and peaceful transition.

He said it was up to Abdullah to agree to the meeting and its date.

In a letter submitted to Abdullah on Monday, Pakatan had made four demands to ensure a smooth transition:

1) That Barisan does not hinder or prevent the MPs from acting in accordance with their conscience and judgement;

2) That the Barisan government should not invoke the Internal Security Act to detain the MPs or any other current Pakatan MPs;

3) That Barisan government does not invoke emergency laws or police powers or suspend the Constitution or dissolve Parliament; and

4) That the Barisan government shall not impose roadblocks or impede MPs from going to Parliament or any institution of government.

So, what is the latest news? Arrggh…so excited.

  10. Hey. I am excited too. Was so excited about this day. I am hoping that Anwar will take the crown. “They” were just too arrogant.

  11. Ready or not, the fight for justice and a change of govt must continue. It may be good, to do it in a slow transitional process… allowing the idea to sink into the heads of these UMNO goons. I doubt, they will willingly and gentlemanly, pass on the power to the opposition. Recent events, must have given everyone a clue, what these evil mad cows are capable of. So be patient…a wounded bull is most dangerous if provoke further.

  12. I feel that our politic should have some changes, at least after changes on 8th March, and the new gov in penang, I can see improvement.

    May be after the changes, Malaysia economy will be better, and soon will be same standard with s’pore.

  13. Anwar Chose to remain silent over the MPs is due to the BN ways of tackling any matter. He also dun trust them! hOW 2 trust la when u have those moron as ur MP. Is good that he wants to do the transition peacefully. If he is one who don’t use brain, he will straight away DO IT. but for the safety of the country and our economic etc, he have to wait for PM to bow down peacefully. Good one! I am waiting for the day. 916 is jus a date. What we want is the changes!
