Who wants to go to Kamunting to convey Raya greetings?

I picked up from AnilNetto’s blog :

Flowers, cards and gifts, if any, will be passed on to Raja Petra and the other ISA detainees to let them know that they are not forgotten on this special day. kamunting prison

I won’t be free because there is something going on in Penang (and I hope to go CM stalking hehehe).

So, what can you do in Kamunting besides going to the Kamunting Prison?

1. Taiping Zoo

Taiping Zoo is one of the better maintained zoo in Malaysia.

2. Taiping Lake

Beautiful place with cascading trees that touch the ground.

kuala sepetang

3. Mee Banjir Kuala Sepetang

I doubt they open shop so soon but I have posted Mee Banjir Kuala Sepetang before.

kuala sepetang seafood

5. Seafood in Kuala Sepetang

I love the seafood and most of all the hut over the river.

6. Laut Matang Swampland

Great place for a walk in the swamplands.

7. Taiping foods

Heh Chien and sio bak are famous in Taiping.

(took this photo on August 26, 2007, just outside Kamunting)

See? So many reasons for you guys to take a drive to Taiping and enjoy the trip, other than visiting Kamunting.

  1. Itu penjara lah. Saya punya rumah lain tempat lah.

    8. You guys can take a short drive and visit the ‘BEST’ water park in the world, PUKI MERAH. A place all must visit before we die. (makes hell looks like a 5 star resort). LOL (yes, I am still pissed at that place)

  2. I recall the seafood at Kuala Sepetang and especially that restaurant in your picture. Great food and atmosphere, looking down at the river while boats coming back in with their catch. Sipping red wine and getting the cook to prepare all sort of finger foods!
