‘Twas the night before Christmas

And I almost didn’t make it to church.

I only made it at the profession of faith, which is midway already. In time for Holy Communion.

In time to sing ‘I offer my life’.

In time to know that the CM also attended the mass, at least part of it.

In time to see the light, that nothing else is more important the the Lord Himself. In time to sing O Holy Night with the congregation.

Led by the light of Faith serenely beaming,
With glowing hearts by His cradle we stand.
So led by light of a star sweetly gleaming,
Here come the wise men from Orient land.
The King of Kings lay thus in lowly manger;
In all our trials born to be our friend.
He knows our need, to our weakness is no stranger,

Behold your King! Before Him lowly bend!
Behold your King, Behold your King.

And that’s was the night before Christmas 2008.

  1. Bosscat – It is Cathedral of the Holy Spirit, behind Caltex Green Lane. Incidentally, tonight Friday 23rd Jan, we are having an interfaith prayer for peace in Gaza. You are welcome to join us in the Dewan. Muslims, Buddhists, Taoists, Hindus, Sikhs, all are welcome because it is interfaith. 8 pm at Dewan Holy Spirit.

  2. I see. A very beautiful church! Thanks for the invitation. I am from PCC myself. Love to visit your church one day, hope I do not get confused with the service. 😀
