I feel BOTH will be around - some people (like me heheh!) prefer to write L-O-N-G posts. Microblogging is too limiting. Good for news as events are happening. Sort of like Live Blogging but easier. In the US, twitter also sends SMSes to subscribers for free, a limited number. So that's helpful for ppl in a group to keep in touch.
