MACC Datuk Ahmad Said, please note that we don’t store porn like your son.

As a mother to many sons and as a wife, I am very disgusted with the attitude of the Chief Commissioner of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC), Datuk Seri Ahmad Said Hamdan towards porn.

In case you have missed it, Ahmad Said said that it is nothing unusual for men to store porn on their handphones. This is what is quoted by The Star when he was asked about the issue of his son bringing child pornographic material into Australia.

Ahmad Said vehemently denies that it was child pornography. He said that the titles of the video clips found in his son’s laptop computer were misleading.

“I can bet with you that it’s something that you will find on most men’s handphones,” he said.

Coming from a notable figure in the Government, a Muslim man and a father, it is absolutely unacceptable for him to show such reaction to a serious case like this. From what I gathered through JeffOoi’s blog, MP Jeff Ooi mentioned,

“AdelaideNow.com, a news website owned by Rupert Murdoch’s Fox News group, reported February 08 last year that Ahmad’s Said’s son Ahmad Shauqi, a Malaysia Airlines co-pilot, was handcuffed to the Adelaide Magistrates Court, and convicted and fined for bringing child pornography into the country on his personal computer.

The three videos classified as prohibited import items were titled “Reped (sic) Virgin”, “10-Year Old” and “High School Students”.

Contrary to what the MACC chief had tried to rationalise, that the titles were misleading, Magistrate Simon Smart ruled that “this material is repugnant and abhorrent – any decent minded person would be so affected by it”.

It is frightening how one’s judgement on the right and wrong of an issue can be so easily swayed. It is worrying how one can claim a wrong as a right with a simple excuse. Therefore, is it any wonder that one cannot make a difference between 46 cows fed to the poor and RM17 million in purchase of apartments in Saudi Arabia under the personal name of the ex-MB of Selangor?

I thought that was so self-incriminating….So now we know what he and pals store in their phones….

  2. These buggers should just shut their mouths and just show us results. Talk so much for what!!! Always putting their foot in their mouth.

  3. When the Chief Commissioner of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC)hs this kind of judgemental value, how the hell can we “harap” him to do a good job. No wonder purchase of cows for the poor can be more corruptable than purchase of mulit-millions assets under someone’s personal name, hor?

  4. In Malaysia, sadly UMNO men and their cronies and stooges, can do no wrong. Malaysia Boleh tetapi UMNO apa apa pun boleh. He is in a department that is to be free from any alliances, but his poor judgement and inability to distance himself from his son’s actions, shwos that he cannot function in this position. He would be better off wrapping up ketupats for all delegates at the UMNO General Assembly.

  5. The Rain Man – Hahaha, I disagree with you! He is better off, burning those porn found in the handphone and sell the DVD. Easier than making ketupats, you know.
