The mysterious death of DAP Teoh Beng Hock

UPDATES TAKEN FROM JEFF OOI’S BLOG :

UPDATES: DAP comrades and supporters in Penang will gather in front of the MACC Penang HQ, Jalan Sultan Ahmad Shah, at 11.00am Friday morning to stage a protest over the death of Teo Beng Hock.
A candle-light vigil will be held at the same venue at 9.00pm Friday night.

IN KLANG VALLEY, DAP and Pakatan Rakyat leaders will hold a press conference at the Selangor MACC HQ at Plaza Masalam, Shah Alam, at 10am Friday morning.

Please keep everybody informed.

Press Statement By DAP Secretary-General Lim Guan Eng In George Town on 16 July 20009

DAP condemns the mysterious death of Teoh Beng Hock in the MACC Selangor HQ in Shah Alam today. The MACC must bear full responsibility for this death as Teoh was in the custody of MACC when he fell from the 14th Floor of the Selangor MACC building.

MACC should stop its political persecution of PR, especially DAP leaders and members, that does not serve the interest of fighting corruption or justice. Such political games have caused the loss of life of a bright young idealistic DAP member.

There must be a full investigation on how he died. Unless MACC can clear its name, the public may suspect that Teoh was mistreated and MACC had a hand in his sudden death. There must be full transparency and accountability. DAP extends its condolences to Teoh’s family for this tragic loss and assures them that all steps will be taken to ensure that the culprits or those responsible be punished.

Everyone – Ask your friends to give support to the vigils and gatherings to let MACC know that we do not condone such mysterious death.

The statement from de facto law minister, Nazri is sooooo insensitive! I am furious when I read what he said about the death. He is quoted to have said this on Malaysiakini :

“Then he should have gone home (instead)….and how would we know that he would jump out of the building?” the de facto law minister added.

A man is dead and yet, Nazri has the cheek to blame him for not going home.

Look before the MACC starts to investigated who is the high profile gangster, I can safely say MACC is the “GANGSTER FOR NAJIS”, PR organize a big and nationall vigil gathering, all rakyats comes in thousands, have a very educated and peaceful demostration against MACC, send nationwide appeal to Yang Di Pertuan Agong to disband this animals MACC from duty, they are not working for the nations but for UMNO / BN only. The rakyats is paying their salary to protect civilians but the killed them in investigation.
I am very sick with the BN government and I believe the whole country rakyats are sick with the MACC.

Obviously PDRM and MACC are controlled by the BN-ruled Fed Govern and used by them to “make things difficult” for the PR ruled states and its leaders. The only way is show them the exit come next GE. Dare not think what else is going to happen before that day comes……….

No one with any semblance of intelligence will believe that Teo could possibly commit suicide at the MACC headquarters. It’s even more bizarre that he would tear his pants before he did so. Not a very glamorous way to die, is it?

The face of evidence is overwhelming. And that is what the MACC has been unable to hide. They have not allowed the family lawyer to be present at the identification. That certainly sounds suspicious.

    It’s pretty obvious.

This was a political aide who had nothing to hide.

Not an ex-MB with a Balinese-style house worth RM24 million.

Not a Prime Minister in-waiting who had affairs with a Mongolian model cum translator.

Not your average Barisan Nasional crook with a hundred corruptions to his name.

But the MACC was out for some dirt on him at all costs. Unfortunately they went too far, and now the young man is dead.

His blood is on their hands. May their souls know no peace.

let me say this…. after a month or 2… all shall be forgotten. I am not being insensitive here but tht is not the first time it has happened in Malaya.

A life has tragically lost and both sides have managed this issue badly. This is not just like any death but one of very much in the public interest and the circumstances surround this death certainly raise an eye brow or 2.

the truth is there are too many involved.

there is no way in hell one can complete a report/investigation in 24hr!!!! not tht Malaya po-lice is known for their super-efficiency in their works. tht must be a monkey’s report!!! or may be a here-is-one-i-made-earlier kind of report!
the po-lice treats us like how they treat all their criminal suspects……. we r all morons and we r all guilty until proven otherwise. if u r not with us, u r against us mentality!!!

soon, u’ll c tht the mere mention of Teoh Beng Hock will see u eat ‘curry rice’. I believe tht if there is no Oil money to be had, some African countries will easily overtake Malaysia in term of real development.

It is very sad and disheartening to know that a fellow Malaysian has died mysteriously in a building without any accountability from the responsible parties. And this is not the first time incidents of this nature has occurred in Malaysia. We have heard of the bombing of the Mongolian woman and the death of an Indian whilst in custody.

May the the Good prevail and the Evil dies.

why BN or SPRM doing this for the sake of getting blamed? its more suspicious coz the death happened at SPRM building?..first thought, that was SPRM caused the death, but y are they are so stupid doing this at their own place?

Or they were overreacting and in anger caused Teoh’s death..if this happen, the case can be easily solved..but it is not the case..more unresolved question than answers..

who are benefiting from this death? of course not BN or SPRM either..

you guyz pls dont straight come into conclusion! pls rationalized your self without prejudice minded..

To Ikan comment. You are definitely not thinking straight. With all the evidence against MACC and their method of investigating for a mere RM2,000, does it tells you something is very FISHY going around in MACC? Did MACC drinks coffee with Toyo when the whole world knows he owns few millions dollar castle? And now, MACC goes out to get all PR for a mere RM2000. Also, are you to tell us that PR people goes all these way and to kill their own people?

Do you think they (MACC and Najis) really want to kill Teoh in MACC?? I would most suggest that Najis gangster wants to make Teoh to goes against PR, trying to negotiate with Teo but somehow “maybe” their conversation is being recorded. Without any choice he is killed.

Just look at how the Perak gov’t collapse. First get someone to capture the 2 men from PR, then framed them for corruption, then make them agree on their condition to topple Perak gov’t. Isn’t it exactly like in this Teo’s case?
