The video I took last night.
Time is running out for the villagers. They have until 2 August 2009 to vacate their homes or risk demolition from the developer, Nusmetro. Tensions are naturally high because it is their beloved home and land that are threatened. The ownership of their houses were grabbed away.
Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng finally meet all 24 houseowners and their representatives. They are working on a solution for the 24 houseowners. But we are in the dark what is that. So, that means more nights spent at Komtar….Last night it lasted till 10.30 pm and by the time I am home, it is 11 pm.
And why do I do it? Because I believe in happy endings. I had been following Kampong Buah Pala from June 6th until now. My ex-colleague met me at the Beng Hock’s forum and he loudly welcome me with, “Kampong Buah Pala eh chah boh!” because he saw my videos on Malaysiakini.tv. Doh…Haven’t seen him for like 10 years and all he remembers is ‘Kampong Buah Pala’s woman.”
