The Sunday where I ‘ran away from home’

I am just making a mental note and a tiny blog post so that I can remind self to keep this little routine of running away from home.

Usually, on Sundays, my hubby plays badminton from 12 noon to 3 pm. Usually, on Sundays, I have to attend choir practice until 1 pm. So, our Sundays are rather messed up with only a little bit of time left.

Now that Christmas is over, there is no more obligations to be in church on a Sunday cos I can do it on Saturdays (or…pssttt….sometimes, none at all).

So, today, I decided to do something different. I packed my laptop and asked hubby to drop me in Gurney Plaza. I have a couple of advertorials to write and the deadline is tight.

My boy doesn’t want to tag along although I offered him the iPad and games. He prefers to stay home with the big brothers.

It is so nice to get out of the house and plonk myself in a coffee joint. I am not sure why but the thought of spending RM23 on a cup of coffee and cake and having as many hours as my laptop battery allows is so liberating.

Run, Lilian, run. Know when to run and enjoy the solitude. It is so refreshing.
