What is your blogging name?

The 5xmom, of course

When did you start blogging, exact date?

October 24th, 2004

What was your first title?

Bloggers are weirdos *link goes to my old blogspot* (and after four years, they get weirder and weirder)

Which posting you feel is the best post so far?

I have too many ‘bests’ but I think anything categorised under ‘Faith‘ are straight from my heart.

But just a post I picked up from search engines. I rule #1 page for ‘kote‘. Go read that post ‘Kisah pasal kote kecil‘.

Who promote/source of inspiration for you to blog?

No one. I am the fountain of creativity, the inspiration just flows and flows. But eheh, money is a good inspiration too.

When day [sic] usually post entries? (I think they mean what is the regular time you blog)

Anytime but if ‘business’ blogging, I usually do it late at night when my children have gone to bed and I have no one to bug me to make drinks, cook food, read book, teach….Yeah, I have a lot of things to do beside my blogs. If it is one of my shoot from the hip, no need to think twice, bitchy post, I can do it on the spot, anytime.

Where would you prefer to be when you are blogging?

I have a working desk with two computers. But I think I will prefer to write from just anywhere. If only it is not so difficult to type with my QWERTY keyboard on my Sony P1i……but I am getting better at it and soon, I will be writing from just anywhere.

Have you met other bloggers? Who?

A lot. The biggest is the Together Gather Bloggers Meet. Wingz said they may organise another one. Please go bug him.

How many entries you made in a month?

30 (days, one per day) x 10 (blogs) = ? at least

Would you reveal your face or your family in your blog? Why?

Initially, I started blogging on play-play basis with only a few friends and yeah, I had revealed. So, it is too late for me to go anon. now.

Would you promote your friends to blog? Why?

No way! I evade giving my blogs URL to people because sometimes, whatever I wrote in my personal blog is too raw and harsh. I am a nice person, you know? But I gotta maintain that blog aura for the audience and also to get my points across.

Would you feel restless/guilty conscious/incomplete if you didn’t blog for a month?

What? Are you crazy? I cannot even go offline for a week. That’s because I have commitments to advertisers. But if you are talking about my personal blog, minus the business side, I would love to stop blogging for a month and test if anyone miss my blog or not.

Define blogging.

Money.

Stole this from Simon.

And passing it to anyone who wish to recall all these when, why, how, where and what of blogging. Especially whoever asked me to ‘Post something lah!’ Do it, it is good to take stock.

I just had my dinner. At 12.30 midnight. It comprise of some salted Sarawak terubok fish, a half-cooked fried egg and some leftover gravy of chicken rendang. Sad? You bet.

But I am very overwhelmed. I have a few people to thank.
First, Samm for her crazy Excel gaji spreadsheet. Otherwise, I cannot measure my milestone as I do not keep tracking of things. Plus those cheemuis who keep me awake at nights. Amy, tks too.

Next, my ex-sifu who encouraged me in my early days. I don’t know why my ex-sifu had a fall-out with me. But anyway, Happy Belated birthday, doc. I do remember September 25th. But since you hate people who make money from blogs so much, I won’t dare to show my face anymore.

After that, my siheng who told me even if I don’t need the money, I can always give it away. I am doing that, siheng.

And my dear ahbeng. Your encouragements gave me the courage. LOL, encouragement sure give courage lah, doh! Cilaka.

Plus my family who knows I need this little self-confidence. It is not the money because no one gets to spend it as all my money is in the bank. My dear hubby who lets me buy anything I fancy because he knows I deserve it, even if it is him paying for it.

I had earlier said I am going to finish my Ribena so that I can cry a river of tears after I achieved what I was out to achieve. As I glugged down my bottle of Hoegaarden, while standing by the kitchen sink, I realised that I do not know why I like to push myself to this extend.

I still don’t know. I hope to find the reason why. Or the root of it.

Anyway, thank you, Lord Jesus. I know You play a big part in this. Let me not be blinded by money but be guided by Your light always. RM17K is a lot of money and Lord, I will know what to do with Your blessings. I will stay rooted to Your Word. But let me get my iMac, first, ok Lord? Just one little thing for myself, pwweeasse? That Apple is too hard to resist, just like how Eve took a bite.

Excuse me while I cry my river of tears.

I upgraded this blog to WP 2.3 last night. There are 2,300 posts collected over three years. I only use the minimum Wordpress plugins.

I closed my eyes, hit the upload button on my Filezilla and prayed namoonithofoot. I was on standby to call my webmaster, “Bryan ah!!!! I just killed my blog!!!!! Kiu miah ahhhhh!!!”

But nothing happened.

So, that means I am either a very skilled webmaster and Wordpress user or I am a very skilled webmaster and Wordpress user. A few plugins broke the theme but nothing major. Sap sap sui.

Whoever is still afraid of upgrading their Wordpress to WP 2.3 are either cheeken or blind cheeken. Nyek! 5xmom rawkz!

Now I am off to test Podpress plugin and hope to bring you some cibai jokes.

Added : The crazy thing I do at 3 am in the morning.

Yang mana satu? Since some party said bloggers :

Umno Youth deputy chief Khairy Jamaluddin said the party had no intention of asking the Government to censor the Internet but wanted legal action taken against bloggers who spread lies and slander through cyberspace.

He said the party had, for a long time, ignored such bloggers but the situation had reached a point where “it looked like there are no laws in cyberspace except the laws of the jungle.”

Khairy said bloggers must realise that they were not above the law and that “cyberspace is not a place for lawlessness.”

He said Umno would be keeping close tabs on the various blogs.

But there are laws in the jungle! The survival of the fittest kind. And birds of a feather flock together kind. Plus if there are red bottom baboons from another colony attacking the beruks, the beruks will retaliate too.

So, what are you? A beruk? Monyet? Lion? Tarzan? Jane?
